FAQs

Why is a trial mandatory?

Trials give both the artist and bride time to get to know one another, as well as get a feel for the wedding look. We want the wedding day to go as seamless as possible, so having a good grasp on your look so that you can sit back and get pampered is all you need to worry about on your big day!

What to bring to a trial?

Trials are appointments where we get to test out different potential looks and styles. Bring any pictures, hairpieces, veils and inspiration you want to try out! We want to begin to design your look for your special day.

How to prep for a trial or the day of?

For makeup trials, please have a clean face with no makeup, but moisturizer is ok.

For hair trials, please have clean and dry hair; washing the night before works as well. Also, please inform me of any allergies or sensitivities. I strive to have as unscented makeup products as possible, but some of my hair products are scented.

When to book a trial?

Generally booking a trial 2-3 months before your wedding is ideal. We try to aim for the same season your wedding is in so that we can test the weather conditions with the makeup and hair.

What is the COVID-19 protocol?

With COVID-19 concerns, as well as basic sanitation, all supplies are disposable and discarded after one-time use. All individuals get new separate brushes that are washed and sanitized every single job. Continuous masking is the standard practice, as well as frequent and regular hand hygiene and sanitation. All products are cleaned, sanitized, or discarded after every job.

Can I add/remove services?

Yes, you can add or remove some services. Please let me know as soon as possible so I can make the necessary arrangements and update your invoice and contract accordingly.

What is the cancellation policy?

I understand that unexpected situations arise. While the deposit is non-refundable, if your event is rescheduled, we can apply the deposit toward the balance of the new date.

When is my invoice due?

50% deposit when you sign the contract. The remaining balance is on the service date. The client is responsible for all unpaid fees of the wedding party.

How much time do I need to account for on my wedding day/event day?

Each service is approximately 45-75 minutes.

What to expect from a trial?

Trials are for us to get to know one another, design your perfect look, and for us to try any style you are curious about or inspiration that you have. Expect there to be a lot of chatting.

How long do trials take?

Please allow 1.5 to 2 hours when booking your trial for either makeup or hair. If you are booking both hair and makeup, please plan for 2.5 to 3 hours. This time ensures we can thoroughly discuss your bridal look and complete the full makeup application without feeling rushed. Rest assured, the process will be much quicker on your wedding day, as we will have already perfected your final look during the trial.

How long does a service take on the day of an event?

I typically allocate around 45-75 minutes for each makeup session, depending on the complexity of the look you want. It’s important to allow extra time not only for any adjustments but also so you have plenty of time to get to your final destination, whether that’s walking down the aisle or arriving perfectly ready for your photoshoot!

Is there a possibility for touch ups at the location to be arranged?

Yes! I’m happy to come along for touch-ups during the bridal party or photoshoot for an additional fee. We can coordinate the time and place to ensure you look flawless all day, with a quick refresh whenever you need it.

What is included in the services?

My makeup service begins with skin and lip preparation to ensure optimal hydration and a smooth canvas. I then apply a beautifully blended foundation, expertly sculpt the face with contouring and concealer, and enhance the eyes with carefully selected eyeshadows. To complete the look, I add a luminous highlight, individual lashes for a natural yet striking effect, and finish with a setting spray to keep everything flawless all day as well as a goddie bag for your touch-up later in the day. Hair styling encompasses any style you desire, with careful pinning of accessories and veils to secure them perfectly and complement your overall appearance.

What is the latest I can have a trial?

Mandatory trials for brides must be booked minimum of 1 month before wedding day.

How do I hold my wedding date?

Retainer of 50% must be placed to hold date to be paid by credit card or etransfer. Please be advised that in order to secure a date, a non-refundable retainer is required. The retainer will be applied to the total amount owing on the final invoice
